An Initiation into Collecting Wild Water

As many of you know, the Selkie Sanctuary is now semi-offgrid after becoming reliant on rainwater collection systems for all our non-potable needs.

Yep! this includes all of our household use, wool processing, natural dyeing, ceramic, gardening, and painterly endeavours too! If you are coming for a stay or visit, you'll likely be asked to supply your own drinking water and be given a tour of how it all works and run down on our newly implemented conservation procedures - like how to employ the suint method for fleece cleaning or how to use our new waterless toilet.
