Hi! I'm Juliette Jarvis, a sacred living mentor & best selling author, here to help you embody your spiritual practice.
Going through something? I offer a wide variety of devotional arts to support your innermost self. From handwoven ritual wear to guidebooks to ceremonial ceramics, even talismans and sacred tools ~ everything here has been intentionally created as a devotion to soul-full living, traditional skills, and old medicine ways. What you will find here are works holding deeply personal remedies suitable for everyday use by anyone, as well as for healing practitioners, ceremonialists, wise women, cunning men, and magic folk within their practices. Whether you are quietly mending emotional wounds, proudly celebrating cronehood, planning rites of passage in your community, are in need of offering vessels for your altar, protective wear during circle gatherings, or simply desire a reminder that even our morning tea can be an act of devotion, the Selkie Sanctuary either has just the perfect thing, or one can be custom made for you. |
I'm so very proud to announce my latest pieces, the Selkie Jacket & Sea Lion Talisman are featured in the Carefully Gathered art show, hosted by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council as part of Madelyn Prevost's anthropological doctorate thesis.

A safe haven to re-member what has been forgotten of etiquette within sacred circles through gentle teachings on how to navigate group dynamics, common elements to expect, and personal ways to deepen medicinal experiences within spiritual gatherings. In this way, How to Be in Circle, offers us an opportunity to more fully receive the spiritual nourishment that we seek within a group setting while respecting and honouring our fellow participants, and importantly, our facilitators.
How to Be in Circle also acts as a major support for facilitators of community ceremonies, sharing circles, and other soul tending or sacred work done within a group setting, be they held in-person or online. As a resource provided to your attendees, relief can be found from commonly accepted burdens that modern spiritual teachers have become expected to carry. In this book we address situations such as: holding sacred space through disruption, keeping the collective on topic, ensuring mindful observance during sharing time, protecting a facilitators time and energy before, during, and after gathering, supporting various participant needs, and conveying a sense of what behaviours are, and are not, acceptable within a circle. These are concepts meant to be held by those coming to sit with you, rather than as additional ways for you to "manage" group dynamics. To this end, you are most welcome to refer to this book as supportive material, in your recommended reading lists, and invite your participants to read, How to Be in Circle, before arriving to your next gathering. |
